Navigation and Search

Move between workspace Home, stores, resources, settings, and project search.

What this covers: You will move to the right workspace or store and know which search shortcut to use inside a project.

The workspace sidebar is the main map for account-level navigation. On smaller screens it appears inside the menu; on wider screens it can be expanded or collapsed.

Entry path: Sign in → open a workspace → workspace sidebar.

Before you start

  • Confirm the workspace name and your member access.
  • Save an unsent project draft before switching to another workspace or store.
  • A missing destination can reflect role, plan, feature, store, or data prerequisites.

Workspace navigation

ControlWhat happens when selected
Workspace nameOpens the workspace switcher with plan, credit, workspace, settings, and creation choices.
StoresOpens the current workspace's store-card view.
A name under StoreOpens that store project.
+ beside StoreOpens Create Store when another store can be added.
Collapse or expand sidebarChanges the sidebar width. Collapsed icons keep labels in tooltips.
Mobile menuOpens the workspace navigation in a side panel; choosing a destination closes it.
Help centerOpens Runner documentation in a new browser tab.
CommunityOpens the Runner community in a new browser tab.
BlogOpens the Runner blog in a new browser tab.
ChangelogOpens product updates inside the current workspace.
Invite FriendsOpens a referral-sharing panel with copy and social-share choices. It does not add a workspace member.
Bell iconOpens the account-wide Inbox, which combines notifications from workspaces you can access. A blue dot means unread items exist.
User avatarOpens personal actions; choosing Settings starts at My Settings.

Use the workspace switcher

Select the workspace name at the top of the expanded sidebar. The switcher shows the current plan and available Credits, followed by the workspaces you can access.

ControlWhat happens when selected
Plan and Credits summaryShows the current workspace's plan and available Credits. It is a status summary, not a navigation button.
UpgradeOpens Plan & Billing for the current workspace.
SettingsOpens workspace settings for the workspace named at the top of the switcher.
Another workspaceSwitches to that workspace and opens its store-card view.
Create WorkspaceOpens the workspace-creation dialog. Creating a workspace is separate from creating a store.

Confirm the workspace name before opening Settings or upgrading. If a workspace is missing, verify that your membership is active; the switcher shows only workspaces available to the signed-in account.

Find and open a store

  1. Select Stores to see store cards, or expand the Store section in the sidebar.
  2. Match the store name before selecting it.
  3. Select the store preview image or name.
  4. If a current task protects unfinished work, follow the navigation message before leaving it.
  5. Use Stores to return to the card view.

The expanded sidebar lists up to the stores it can display. If a store is not easy to locate there, use the complete store-card view and confirm that you are in the right workspace.

Search inside a project

The workspace store-card view does not provide the same destination-and-chat search as a project. After you open a store:

  1. Select Search in the project sidebar, or press Command/Control + K.
  2. Enter a project destination or recent chat name.
  3. Choose a result under Control Center or Recent Chats.
  4. Press Escape to close without navigating.

See Project navigation and search for search states and conditional project destinations.
