Custom Scripts and Store Agent
Add storefront JavaScript and choose which Skills are available in one store project.
Custom Scripts changes storefront behavior, while Store Agent changes which Skills Runner can use for the current project. Both are store-specific settings and should be reviewed with extra care.
What this covers
You will be able to add and save a script, pause it without deleting it, and add or disable a Skill for only the current project.
Availability and prerequisites
- Open Settings from inside the intended project.
- Custom JavaScript can change storefront behavior. Add only code you understand and trust.
- Skill actions depend on available workspace Skills and whether a System Skill is configurable.
- The full Agent page and plan gate still control broader Skill availability.
Entry paths
- Scripts: avatar → Settings → Store → Custom Scripts
- Project Skills: avatar → Settings → Store → Agent
Custom Scripts controls
| Entry or button | Why it is useful | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| Add Script | Create a storefront script entry. | A new enabled Script row opens with empty JavaScript Code. |
| Script row | Expand or collapse its editor. | Script Name and JavaScript Code become visible. |
| Eye / hidden-eye icon | Enable or disable one script. | The local row changes state; select Save Changes to apply it. |
| Delete icon | Remove a script from the pending list. | The row disappears without a second dialog; Save Changes applies the removal. |
| Save Changes | Apply every pending script edit. | Runner saves the full script list and shows a success or error message. |
Runner allows up to ten script entries. The Save Changes button remains disabled when nothing has changed.
Add or change a script
- Open Store → Custom Scripts.
- Select Add Script.
- Enter a clear Script Name and trusted JavaScript Code.
- Leave the script enabled only if it should run on the storefront.
- Review all other rows because Save Changes applies the whole list.
- Select Save Changes and wait for Saved.
- Check the storefront safely after saving.
Runner tries to prevent one script error from crashing the page, but that does not make unknown code safe. A script can still affect privacy, performance, tracking, and customer experience.
Store Agent controls
| Entry or button | Why it is useful | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| Active Skill row | See which Skill is available in this project. | The row shows name, description, and System or Custom type. |
| Disable | Remove a configurable Skill from this project only. | The Skill leaves this project's active list; it is not globally deleted. |
| Add Skill | Add an available workspace Skill to this project. | Selecting a listed Skill enables it for the current project. |
| Create custom skill… | Create a new custom capability. | The Skill editor opens, then the project list refreshes after success. |
Configure project Skills
- Open Store → Agent.
- Review the currently active Skills.
- Select Add Skill, then choose an available Skill or Create custom skill….
- Wait for the success message and confirm the Skill appears.
- Use Disable when a configurable Skill should stop applying to this project.
- Open Control Center → Agent for full Skill details, pause, edit, import, or delete actions.
States and limits
- Script changes remain local until Save Changes succeeds.
- Removing a script row has no separate confirmation before Save Changes.
- Reaching ten scripts disables Add Script.
- Store Agent can show loading, an error, No skills enabled, or the active list.
- Fixed System Skills do not show Disable.
- Disabling in Store Agent changes this project's scope; it does not delete or globally pause the Skill.
Troubleshooting
- If a script still runs, confirm its disabled state was followed by Save Changes.
- If Save fails, the previously saved list stays unchanged; correct the code or retry after the error.
- If Add Skill has no expected entry, check the full Agent page and the current plan.
- If Disable is absent, the System Skill is not configurable for this project.
- If a new Skill appears globally but not here, add it to the project from Store Agent.
