Reviews and Advanced Admin
Enable and moderate product reviews, and understand the conditional full-backend admin entry.
Use Reviews to moderate customer feedback when the capability is enabled, and use Advanced Admin only when Runner exposes a backend task not covered by guided Store Operations.
Why and when to use these areas
Enable Reviews when your storefront is ready to collect product feedback and someone will moderate submissions. Open Advanced Admin only when its entry is visible and you understand the backend task; common work is clearer and safer in the guided Store Operations pages.
Availability and prerequisites
Reviews
- Open Store Operations → General and look for Product reviews.
- The Reviews menu appears only when the store backend reports reviews enabled.
- An older storefront can lack review components even after the switch is enabled. When Runner shows the capability hint, ask the agent to add product review capability and publish the resulting storefront changes.
- Reviews appear only after customers submit them through a supported storefront.
Advanced Admin
- Advanced Admin appears only on the desktop layout and only for workspaces where the feature is enabled.
- It opens in a new browser tab.
- The embedded backend needs an available admin destination. Otherwise the page shows a publish-first message.
- Controls inside the backend can vary and can affect the same store. Confirm the project and action before saving changes.
Entry paths
Reviews entry path: Workspace → choose a store → Store Operations → General → Product reviews, turn on the switch, then select Store Operations → Reviews when that menu item appears.
Advanced Admin entry path: On desktop, open Workspace → choose a store → Store Operations, then select the floating Advanced Admin entry when it is visible. Runner opens it in a new tab. The current mobile layout does not show this entry.
Main controls

Enable and moderate reviews
- Open Store Operations → General.
- Turn on Product reviews.
- Wait for the setting to finish saving. If the switch returns to off, the request failed; retry after checking store readiness.
- If Runner says the storefront lacks review components, ask the Runner agent to add product review capability, review the storefront change, and publish it.
- Return to Store Operations and open Reviews after the menu appears.
- Select Pending.
- Read the product, reviewer, rating, content, and date for each submission.
- Select Approve or Reject, or check several rows and use the matching selected action.
- Wait for the success message and verify the Status column.
Use Advanced Admin carefully
- On desktop, confirm the project name and the task you cannot complete in the guided pages.
- Select Advanced Admin and switch to the new tab.
- If Runner shows a publish-first message, return to the project and complete the required store publication path before retrying.
- In the backend, confirm the current store and read the affected record before changing it.
- Save only the intended change, then return to Runner and refresh the corresponding Store Operations page.
States and limits
- Pending needs a moderation decision; Approved and Rejected record the current decision.
- No reviews yet is valid until supported customer submissions exist.
- Turning on the setting does not manufacture reviews or prove the storefront contains a review form.
- Advanced Admin being hidden is an availability boundary, not a navigation error.
- Advanced Admin is not shown in the current mobile layout.
- Advanced Admin is not a substitute for publishing the storefront or connecting required services.
Troubleshooting
- Reviews menu is missing: Confirm the switch in General, backend readiness, and the storefront capability hint. Refresh after the setting is confirmed.
- Customers cannot leave reviews: Verify the storefront includes the review components and that those storefront changes were published.
- A moderation action fails: Keep the review selected, refresh once, and retry only after checking its current status.
- Advanced Admin is missing: Switch to a desktop layout. If it is still absent, the feature is not enabled for this workspace or surface; use the guided pages and do not rely on a copied route.
- Advanced Admin says to publish first: Complete the store's publication prerequisite, then reopen the conditional entry.
- Backend changes are not reflected in Runner: Return to the matching Store Operations section and use Refresh when available.
