Products
Create, edit, publish, refresh, or safely remove catalog products.
Use Products to turn an item into a complete store listing with customer-facing information, prices, media, and status.
Why and when to use Products
Create a product when you want to sell an item directly, then return to adjust its name, description, category, images, prices, variants, inventory, search listing, or Draft/Published status.
Availability and prerequisites
- Open a Runner project with a ready store backend.
- Save at least one Market so product currency can match a selling region.
- Save a Stock Location before expecting inventory changes to be stored.
- Import appears in the populated desktop list; a new empty catalog starts with Add First Product.
- Dropshipping products can show different cost and inventory behavior from manually managed products.

Main controls
| Control | Why you use it | What happens when selected |
|---|---|---|
| Refresh | Reload current catalog data | Refetches products and market information; it does not create or publish anything. |
| Add / Add First Product | Create a manual product | Opens a blank Add Product form. |
| Import | Add products from a supported CSV | Opens the import dialog with Template and History. |
| Product row | Review or change an item | Opens Edit Product for that product. |
| Pencil icon | Edit a product without selecting its row | Opens the same Edit Product form. |
| Delete icon | Remove a product | Opens a destructive confirmation; confirming removes the product and cannot be assumed reversible. |
| Draft | Keep the listing out of the published catalog | Saves the product with Draft status. |
| Published | Make the listing eligible to appear in the catalog | Saves Published status; actual storefront visibility still depends on the store and storefront state. |
| Save | Store valid product changes | Saves the product and returns to the refreshed list after success. |
| Cancel or back control | Leave the form | Returns toward the list; unsaved form changes are not applied. |
Create a product
- Select Add or Add First Product.
- Choose a Product Category and enter a clear Name and Description.
- Add images and choose the intended thumbnail.
- Choose Draft while preparing the listing or Published when it is ready for the catalog.
- Enter the regular Price. Add a lower Sale Price and valid start/end dates only when you want a scheduled sale.
- Configure variants and inventory if the item has options or tracked stock.
- Review the SEO page title, meta description, handle, and displayed store URL.
- Select Save and wait until the Products list returns with the updated row.
Edit or remove a product
- Select the product row or its pencil icon.
- Change only the fields that should affect the listing.
- Select Save and confirm the row reflects the new status or information.
- To remove the product, return to the list and select its delete icon.
- Read the product name in the confirmation. Continue only if permanent removal is intended.
States and limits
- Draft and Live badges in the list summarize product status. The form uses Draft and Published.
- A currency mismatch warning means the product's currency is outside the store's saved regions; its prices will not display on the storefront until corrected.
- Sale Price must be lower than the regular Price. Supplier items can also enforce a minimum retail price.
- Images accept only the formats and size shown by the form. Failed compression or upload leaves the product image unchanged.
- Booking and dropshipping rows can show a dash instead of normal inventory or variant totals.
- Saving Published status is not the same as publishing or deploying the storefront.
Troubleshooting
- Inventory not saved: Add and save a Stock Location, then reopen the product and enter stock again.
- Price does not display: Make the product currency match a saved Market region.
- Save stays disabled or fails: Make a change, then complete the required Name and status and fix any inline error. Add a suitable category and price before expecting a complete customer-facing listing, but they are not prerequisites for enabling Save.
- Image upload fails: Use JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP within the size shown in the image hint, then retry.
- Product is missing from the storefront: Check Published status, store visibility, storefront publication, and the relevant market. A saved admin row alone is not proof of customer visibility.
