Agent Command Palette

Search, add, and open Agent Skills and Memory without leaving your current project page.

The Agent command palette is a keyboard-first shortcut for Agent capabilities. It is useful when you know what you need and do not want to browse the full Agent page.

Runner Agent tools

What this covers

You will be able to open the palette, search its three capability groups, use the keyboard, and understand what selecting each result does.

Availability and prerequisites

  • You must be inside a project.
  • Skills remain subject to plan access and each Skill's configurable state.
  • Memory results appear only when unified Memory is enabled.
  • This palette is different from project navigation search: Command/Ctrl + K searches destinations and conversations, while Command/Ctrl + Shift + K opens Agent capabilities.

Entry path

From any current project page, press Command + Shift + K on macOS or Ctrl + Shift + K on Windows and Linux.

What selection does

Result typeWhat happens when selected
Added configurable SkillRunner toggles the Skill's active state when your plan allows it.
Fixed System SkillThe row remains unchanged if that Skill cannot be toggled.
Discover SkillRunner starts adding the Skill; the row can show Adding….
MemoryThe palette closes and opens Agent → Memory with a search based on that memory.
Skill without plan accessRunner opens Agent → Skills, where the plan gate explains the available next step.

Use the palette

  1. Press Command/Ctrl + Shift + K.
  2. Type a distinctive word from the Skill name, source, or memory content.
  3. If needed, select Skills or Memory to narrow the list.
  4. Use the arrow keys to highlight a row.
  5. Review the action text on the right, such as Add or Open.
  6. Press Enter only when that is the action you want.
  7. Confirm the result on the Agent page or in the updated palette state.

States and limits

  • Nothing to show means the current tab and query returned no rows.
  • Adding… is a progress state, not confirmation that installation finished.
  • The palette is optimized for quick selection; create, edit, delete, Memory scope, and detailed Skill settings remain on the full Agent page.
  • Selecting an active Skill can pause it. Read the row state before pressing Enter.

Troubleshooting

  • If Command/Ctrl + K opens project search, add Shift to open the Agent palette.
  • If Memory is absent, the account does not currently have the unified Memory surface.
  • If Enter opens the Agent page instead of toggling a Skill, follow the displayed plan gate.
  • If there are no results, clear the search or select All.
  • If a Skill remains unchanged, it may be a fixed System Skill.
