1. Publish Your Store

Why Publishing Is Required

Publishing syncs what you see in Preview to Runner AI's cloud hosting environment, making your store publicly accessible.

During deployment, Runner AI will:

  • Build your frontend pages
  • Sync product and catalog data
  • Update site structure and routing
  • Configure secure access
  • Deploy your site to a global CDN

How to Publish

Step 1: Review Your Store Make sure the following are ready:

  • Copy and content
  • Images and videos
  • Module layout
  • Header and footer
  • Products and categories

Step 2: Click "Publish" Location: Top-right corner → Publish

Step 3: Wait for Deployment (~1–2 minutes) You can track the status on the Home page:

  • Draft – Not published
  • Publishing – Deployment in progress
  • Published – Live and accessible

Once published, your store will be publicly available.

Can I Edit After Publishing?

Yes. You can continue editing at any time. However, changes only take effect after you republish.

Publishing & Credits

Publishing itself does not consume Credits. However, only paid plans are allowed to publish stores.

2. General Settings

General settings control how your site appears in browsers, search engines, and social platforms.

Path: Project Settings → General

Store Name

Displayed in:

  • Browser tabs
  • Search results
  • Page titles in some templates

Store Description

Used for:

  • SEO metadata
  • Social sharing previews

Brand Logo & Favicon

You can upload:

  • Logo (used in headers and selected templates)
  • Favicon (browser tab icon)

Once uploaded, these assets can be indexed by search engines and contribute to SEO.

3. Remove Runner AI Watermark

By default, stores generated with Runner AI display "Powered by Runner AI" in the bottom-left corner.

You can disable this at: Project Settings → General → Remove Watermark

Eligibility

  • Available on Runner Plan and above
  • Once removed, the watermark will no longer appear on future deployments

4. Subdomain Settings (Runner Subdomain)

Each store is automatically assigned a Runner AI subdomain, such as:

your-store.runner.site

You can customize this subdomain via: Project Settings → Domain

Subdomain Rules

Allowed:

  • Letters, numbers, and hyphens (-)

Restrictions:

  • Cannot start with a number or symbol
  • Cannot include brand names, trademarks, or sensitive terms
  • Cannot include illegal, adult, hateful, or political content

Runner AI automatically scans and blocks restricted terms.

Restricted Categories (Examples)

Illegal / Criminal Content Violence, terrorism, drugs, hacking, weapons (e.g. terror, bomb, drugs, hack, weapon, fraud)

Adult / Obscene Content Sexual or explicit language (e.g. porn, nude, xxx)

Hate / Discrimination Racist, sexist, or hateful terms (e.g. nazi, kkk, racist)

Political Extremism Extremist groups or political attacks (e.g. isis, alqaeda)

Trademark / Impersonation Brand impersonation or misleading identity (e.g. google, apple, openai, official, support)

General Abuse Profanity, scams, malware-related terms (e.g. scam, spam, virus, phishing)

Activation Time

  • Typically 1–2 minutes
  • First-time setup may take slightly longer

5. Custom Domain

If you own a domain from providers like GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, or Alibaba Cloud, you can connect it to Runner AI.

Path: Project Settings → Domain → Custom Domain

How to Connect a Custom Domain

Step 1: Enter Your Domain Examples:

  • mybrand.com
  • shop.mydomain.com

Step 2: Configure DNS Runner AI will provide:

  • A CNAME record
  • In some cases, a TXT record for verification

Add these records in your domain provider's DNS settings.

Step 3: Automatic Verification Once verified, your site will go live within 1–2 minutes.

6. Integrations

We are continuously expanding our integrations.

Through Integrations, you can connect:

  • Payments (Stripe / PayPal – planned)
  • Shipping platforms (e.g. EasyShip – planned)
  • Analytics tools (Google Analytics – planned)
  • Email services (Gmail)

7. FAQ

Q1: Do I need to republish after every change? Yes. Any updates must be republished to become public.

Q2: Does publishing consume Credits? No. Publishing does not use Credits.

Q3: Can I bind multiple custom domains? Yes. Multiple custom domains are supported.

Q4: Do I need technical knowledge to connect a domain? No. You only need to add a CNAME record at your domain provider.

Q5: Will a failed publish affect my live site? No. If publishing fails, the previous live version remains online.
