Runner Ads
Connect supported ad accounts, read campaign performance, manage connections, and understand campaign creation paths.
Runner Ads brings supported ad-account reporting and campaign controls into the store project.
Entry path
Open a store project → More → Ads → Overview.
Before you start
- Confirm the workspace has Ads access and an eligible plan.
- Use an account that is authorized to connect the ad provider.
- Know which provider and ad account belong to this business.
- Connecting starts the provider's authorization flow; it is not complete until Runner shows the connected account.
Connection controls and click results
| Control | What happens after you select it |
|---|---|
| Connect Google Ads | Opens the secure Google authorization flow. |
| Connect Facebook & Instagram | Opens the Meta authorization flow. |
| Connect TikTok Ads | Opens TikTok authorization when that channel is enabled. |
| Cancel connection | Cancels a provider authorization attempt that is still pending. |
| Connection settings | Opens connected-channel status plus the controls supported by that provider, such as connect, sync, reauthorize, or disconnect. |
| Sync | Requests a fresh account list for that connection. It does not create a campaign. |
| Reauthorize | For TikTok, starts authorization again when this control appears and the connection requires it. |
| Disconnect | Opens a confirmation before removing Runner’s provider connection. |
Connect an account
- Open Ads → Overview.
- Select the correct provider button.
- Complete authorization in the provider window.
- Return to Runner and wait for account synchronization.
- Confirm the provider and account name appear in connection settings or the account picker.
- If the connection remains pending, wait for sync or use the visible retry path.
- Do not treat the initial button click as a completed connection.
Dashboard controls and results
| Control or section | What happens or appears |
|---|---|
| Time range | Refreshes reporting for the past week, month, or broader recent period. |
| Account picker | Filters results when more than one connected account is available. |
| KPI cards | Summarize available ad metrics for the selected accounts and period. |
| Campaign table | Lists campaign metrics and supported status controls. |
| Campaign Pause / Enable | For supported Google Ads or TikTok campaigns, requests the corresponding external status change. Meta campaigns do not show this control. Use it only when authorized and confirm the returned state. |
| Trend chart | Compares selected campaign and account performance over time. |
| Activity feed | Shows available recent ad-account activity. |
| Create Campaign | Opens a provider choice or campaign destination only when a supported creation channel is connected. |
Campaign creation paths
- With Google Ads connected, Create Campaign opens Runner’s four-step flow: Channel & Goal, Plan, Edit Campaigns, and Review & Publish.
- With TikTok Ads connected, creation opens TikTok Ads Manager in a new tab rather than an in-app TikTok wizard.
- With both available, the button opens a provider choice.
- A Meta-only connection can provide reporting but does not show a campaign-creation destination in the current flow.
- In the Google flow, Next advances after required fields are valid, Back returns to a completed step, and Publish Campaign sends the reviewed campaign to the provider.
Troubleshooting
| State | Meaning and next step |
|---|---|
| Waitlist | Ads is disabled for the workspace. Joining or viewing the waitlist does not unlock it immediately. |
| Upgrade screen | The current plan cannot open the Ads workspace. |
| Authorization pending | The provider window has not completed or returned. Finish it or cancel the attempt. |
| Reauthorization required | For TikTok, open connection settings and select Reauthorize when shown before expecting fresh data. |
| Data temporarily delayed | Keep available partial data and retry later; avoid repeated provider requests. |
| Reporting unavailable for a channel | That connection cannot supply the requested report. Use supported channels or provider reporting. |
| Create button absent | No currently connected channel supports a creation destination. |
