Introduction
If you are a merchant using Runner AI to support your business, we collect and use your personal information to provide you with access to our platform and its services, and generally to help you better manage your business and relationships with customers.
When we process personal information of your customers ("End Users"), we do so as a Data Processor on behalf of you, our Merchant. You, the Merchant, are the Data Controller for your End Users' information. This means you are responsible for legal compliance with applicable data protection laws, including providing your own privacy policy and obtaining any necessary consents from your End Users.
Additionally, please review our overall privacy policy, which applies to everyone whose information we process.

We process your personal data to fulfill our contract with you, or because maintaining our business relationship, preventing risks and fraud, providing you with efficient services, improving our products and services, and responding to your service requests align with our legitimate interests. In some cases, we will only process your personal information with your consent.

When and Why We Share Your Information with Others
Running a business is hard, and we work with multiple companies to help us provide you with a range of services to support your business. We sometimes share your personal information with these companies to help us provide you with Runner AI services.
We also share your personal information with others:
- To prevent or investigate suspected fraud, threats to physical safety, illegal activities, or breaches of contract or our other website agreements.
- To help us with marketing and advertising.
- To comply with legal requirements, or respond to court orders or similar government requests.
- For asset sales or purchases, stock sales, purchases or mergers, bankruptcy, or other business transactions or reorganizations, we will share your personal data with potential buyers, sellers, new owners, or other relevant third parties as necessary during negotiations or in connection with a change in company control (such as a reorganization, merger, or sale of our assets).
Additionally, almost every merchant using the Runner AI platform also uses non-Runner AI services to support their business (sales channels, payment gateways, or shipping providers).
Runner AI has no control over how these services use your personal information, and you should check any other services you use to ensure they meet your privacy expectations.
Your Rights Regarding Your Information
You can access and correct much of your personal information directly through your Runner AI admin. For information you cannot access or correct directly in your Runner AI admin, please submit a data subject request via our support@adaptivemachines.ai. For more information, please see our overall privacy policy. Please note that certain data subject rights only apply in specific circumstances, and all of these rights may be limited by law.
How Long We Keep Your Information
Since we need your personal information to provide Runner AI services, we generally retain your personal information for as long as you use Runner AI products or services. If you close your store, stop paying subscription fees, or we terminate your account, we will retain store information for two years before beginning to delete or anonymize personal information. We will not do this immediately if you reactivate your account or if there are legal complaints or audits related to your business. If you contact us to request deletion of your store's information, we will begin the process of deleting or anonymizing personal information after 90 days, unless we are required by law to retain specific information. If you have any questions about this process, please contact our support team by support@adaptivemachines.ai. Please remember that after we anonymize your personal information, we may continue to use non-identifying information to improve our services.
Your Customer Information
To help grow your business, we collect and use personal information about your customers. Typically, we collect and use this personal information as directed by you. Legally, we are a "data processor" and "service provider," as these terms are used in certain applicable privacy laws, including those in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
Since you decide how to use your customers' personal information, you need to ensure your customers understand how you (and how we on your behalf) collect and process their personal information. To do this, you should at least post a privacy policy in your store that describes the information you collect, how you use it, and with whom you share it.
If you collect any "sensitive" personal information from customers (e.g., information about a consumer's Social Security, driver's license, state ID, or passport number; account login information, financial account information, debit or credit card numbers, and any required security codes or passwords; precise geolocation information; health or genetic data, racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union membership; the contents of a consumer's mail, email, or text messages; or criminal offense data), you should obtain explicit consent from the customer to use and process this information.
